Our EYFS courses support early language acquisition and development and are offered in a range of formats, including INSETs and Moderation sessions. 

Sounds-Write Phonics (John Walker)
Model lessons, planning support for schools already using Sounds-Write, open mornings for schools considering the programme.
Early Years Cluster Moderation Twilights
A structured but informal opportunity to meet practitioners from other EFS settings to share and peer-moderate assessment judgements throughout the Early Years (from0-5).
English Subject Leaders’ Network Meeting
Our termly meeting for English subject leaders, to share practice and to engage with topical national and local issues within English teaching.
Early Years Assessment Cluster
The Early Years Assessment Cluster meetings provide a unique opportunity for all practitioners working with children in the Early Years Foundation Stage to share and moderate assessment judgements across the whole of the Early Years Outcome Framework- from birth to the end of the EYFS (Early Learning Goals)!

Early Years Literacy (Equip Model)
This two day programme involves some theoretical and practical aspects during session one (including spending some time in the classroom). Participants are then expected to carry out specific tasks before the second session of training two weeks later.

A practical one day course exploring how to develop outstanding Early Years provision involving: Triangulating evidence A learning walk in the Early Years Unpicking the new Ofsted framework in relation to the Early Years to ensure your curriculum meets the needs of your pupils
Early Years Nurture Group
Meetings seek to support practitioners in taking a nurture approach to helping pupils develop social and emotional regulation, so that they can engage in learning to maximise their potential.
Our Early Years SEND Cluster meetings provide a unique opportunity for all practitioners working with children in the Early Years Foundation Stage to share different aspects of SEND.
EYFS NQT Programme
For the academic year 2019/20, the Wandle Teaching School Alliance will continue to work together with Wandsworth LA to jointly deliver the EYFS NQT Induction Programme.
Developing a robust assessment system for writing in EYFS
Develop effective assessment systems from baseline to end of Reception, including strategies to make the best use of summative and formative assessments.
Vocabulary - Closing the Word Gap
This practical training will show how KS1 and KS2 students can enlarge their vocabulary and get involved in noticing, understanding, and using new words.
